Community Service
The Saratoga Chapter NSDAR is committed to Community Service. Throughout the year we provide service to the The Women's Guardian House, veterans, children in need of warm clothing, food pantries, Wreaths Across America and tombstone cleaning and preservation.
The Women's Guardian House in Ballston Spa is the only supportive housing program for homeless female veterans in New York State and just one of seven in the entire United States that is funded by the VA. As a Chapter, we provide dinner for the women residing there one day every other month..
Wreaths Across America provides deceased veterans the opportunity to have a wreath placed on their gravesite at Christmas to show that we will always remember our veterans and be forever grateful for their service. The Saratoga Chapter participates in this service every year and also volunteers toplace wreaths at the Gerald B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
